      Harvard study includes Taiji in top 5 exercises!!!
        Harvard Medical School Health Publications says that taiji (tai chi) is one of the best exercises you can ever do!  It goes on to say that kegels are good too...

      Qigong may ease cancer patients' stress
        Houston Chronicle reports findings from the University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center  that qigong, an "ancient Chinese mind-body practice", reduces symptoms and improves quality of life in cancer patients.  The study tracked 96 patients as they underwent various treatments in Shanghai, China.

      How easily can you get up from sitting on the floor?
        European Society of Cardiology demonstrates the correlation between longevity and the ability to rise from a seated postion without the use of the hands (really). Here's a video of the exercise.  How did you do?  Here's a link to original study done in Brazil.

      Tai Chi named as perfect exercise for the elderly
        -The Telegraph quotes scientists as saying taiji should be the "preferred mode of training" for the elderly.  In the Hong Kong study, those participants who practiced taiji were healthier in almost every way than were those who did not practice taiji.

      Slow Movement with Awareness: Better than Exercise?
        Psychology Today presents "mounting evidence that slow movement, with body sense awareness, has astounding health benefits by itself and in combination with regular exercise routines." Apparently, people who practice such things experience less pain, stress, depression, and disability while simultaneously experiencing more confidence, increased awareness and a greater quality of life!
